Birague’s street, post Lockdown

As planned, we re-opened our Birague’s street shop on May 11th.
The first day passed very quickly since all we did was cleaning. We also changed the merchandising in order to expose new products that got delivered just before the lockdown: cute coasters, champagne corks, cutters in the shape of the Eiffel Tower and France.

Our dear neighbors

We got reunited with a few of our neighbors, since some of them have not re-opened yet. But the bests were there: first of all, the restaurant la Chamade next to us does take out. Also, you can sip delicious organic coffee in the morning, eat a sandwich or the special of the day, and why not enjoying a home made strawberry mojito for cocktail hour?

Then , you have Hassan’s grosserie store across the street. He did not close during the quarantine and was very happy to see us: he is the sweetest guy who will give you a hand WHILE smiling! It must of been hard for him to work alone for all this time.

The UBU Galery also opened it’s doors, Pierre takes time to re-organize his lovely jewellery store, jewels made and produced in France, precisely in le Marais.

Calm. Very calm

The street is very calm. Of course we do see a few people on the sidewalks, starting with our good friends the dogs of the neighborhood! They were very pleased to see their two girlfriends again, they know the store is a free hug zone, water is always pouring, and that they might even get a treat (treats made in France, obiously). So we got reunited with Chippie, Nero, Pollock, Jane, Mila, Zuzu, Lilou and let’s not forget the gorgeous Yoko.

The only advantage of this quiet situation is that we almost own the street, wich allows Billie-The-BringFranceHome-Ambassador to go nuts almost freely. I say ‘almost’ because apparently the bikers do NOT enjoy our shootings.
